What isImpowered?
Impowered is a temporary staffing agency run by Imperial College Union. Our mission is to provide Imperial students with flexible, casual work opportunities on campus, helping them to support themselves financially while they study, develop new skills and gain valuable experience. At the same time, we provide Imperial departments and other clients with access to a diverse pool of talented students who can support a wide range of temporary staffing requirements.

Flexible staffing support: Recruit students for short-term, casual, project-based or recurring work according to the needs of your team.
Support from our team: The Impowered team will work with you to understand your requirements and support you through the recruitment and placement process.
Fair pay for students:All roles advertised through Impowered must pay at least the London Living Wage. Some roles may attract a higher hourly rate depending on their responsibilities and requirements.
Make a positive impact:By recruiting through Impowered, you are helping Imperial students to earn money, gain experience and develop valuable skills alongside their studies.
A not-for-profit service: Impowered operates on a not-for-profit, break-even basis.
Any surplus generated by the service is added to Imperial College Union’s Strategic Investment Fund, which supports projects and initiatives that improve the student experience at Imperial.
This means that using Impowered not only helps you meet your staffing needs—it also contributes directly to supporting the wider Imperial student community.

How it works
- Register your interest and tell us about your staffing requirements.
- A member of the Impowered team will contact you to discuss the role.
- We will agree the requirements, timescales and hourly rate with you.
- The opportunity will be promoted to suitable Imperial students.
- Impowered will support the recruitment and placement process.
